Failed New Jersey gubernatorial candidate Mikie Sherrill is making a desperate play to save the Democrat Party from its own radical wing, launching the "Mission to Deliver PAC" in what amounts to an admission that the party has been hijacked by progressive extremists.
The move comes as Democrats face a potential bloodbath in the 2026 midterms, with Trump's decisive mandate and soaring approval ratings putting every swing seat in jeopardy. Rather than accept responsibility for their party's lurch toward socialism, Sherrill is doubling down on the same failed moderate messaging that cost Democrats everything in 2024.
Internal War Brewing
Sherrill's PAC represents the establishment Democrats' last-ditch effort to wrestle control back from the Squad and their progressive allies who have dragged the party so far left that even longtime Democrat voters are jumping ship. But here's the problem – moderate Democrats enabled this radical takeover every step of the way.
"This is about delivering results for working families," Sherrill claimed in announcing her PAC. But what results is she talking about? The open borders crisis? The inflation disaster? The crime wave in Democrat-run cities? These so-called "moderates" voted lockstep with Biden's radical agenda for four years.
The truth is, there's no such thing as a moderate Democrat anymore – they all march to the same progressive tune when it matters.
Patriots shouldn't be fooled by this rebranding effort. Sherrill and her moderate allies will say whatever it takes to get elected, then fall in line with Chuck Schumer and the party bosses the moment they get to Washington. We've seen this movie before.
Trump's Shadow Looms Large
What really has Sherrill panicked is the reality that Trump's America First agenda is working. As the President delivers on his promises – securing the border, unleashing American energy, and putting America first in trade – Democrats are left defending policies that have been thoroughly rejected by the American people.
No amount of PAC money can fix the Democrat brand when their policies have failed so spectacularly. The question isn't whether moderate or progressive Democrats will win in 2026 – it's how badly they'll all lose when Trump's success story speaks for itself.
