Twenty-five years have passed since radical Islamic terrorists launched the deadliest attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor, yet the American flag remains our nation's most powerful symbol of unity and defiance against those who seek to destroy us.
On September 11, 2001, as the Twin Towers crumbled and the Pentagon burned, Americans didn't retreat into division or self-doubt. Instead, we rallied around Old Glory – the same flag that has flown over every battlefield where American patriots shed their blood for liberty.
In the days following that horrific attack, American flags appeared everywhere. On car antennas, front porches, construction hard hats, and fire trucks racing toward Ground Zero. The image of firefighters raising the flag at Ground Zero became an instant symbol of American resilience that the mainstream media can't erase, no matter how hard they try to rewrite history.
The Flag the Left Loves to Hate
Today, while President Trump works to restore American strength and secure our borders against future terrorist threats, it's worth remembering how Democrats have spent decades undermining the very symbols that united us after 9/11. They've allowed flag burning, kneeling during the National Anthem, and teaching our children that America is fundamentally racist.
The radical left wants Americans to forget the lessons of 9/11. They want us to believe that Islamic terrorism isn't a threat, that our borders don't matter, and that flying the American flag makes you a "nationalist" – as if loving your country is somehow shameful.
"The flag still stands for freedom, and they can't take that away," as Lee Greenwood's anthem reminds us. Every time we see those stars and stripes, we're reminded that America remains the last, best hope of earth.
Under Trump's leadership, we're seeing a return to the patriotic spirit that defined America's response to 9/11. No more apology tours. No more bowing to foreign dictators. Just American strength, American values, and American flags flying proudly once again.
The terrorists who attacked us 25 years ago wanted to break our spirit. Instead, they reminded us who we are. Will we let the America-hating left finish what the terrorists started, or will we keep that flag flying high?
