Another Democrat ethics scandal has erupted on Capitol Hill, as Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton was forced to ban his staff from betting on prediction markets after concerns mounted about insider trading and corruption within his office.

The emergency prohibition comes as questions swirl about whether Democratic staffers have been exploiting confidential government information to line their own pockets through political gambling sites. Moulton's sudden ban covers betting on politics and "any information obtained in an official capacity" - a telling admission that his team may have been doing exactly that.

This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump promised to drain when he returned to Washington. While Trump's team focuses on delivering results for the American people, Democrats are apparently more interested in figuring out new ways to profit from their positions of power.

"The fact that Moulton felt compelled to issue this ban suggests his office knows there's a problem," said one Capitol Hill observer. "You don't prohibit something unless it's already happening."

The timing couldn't be worse for Democrats, who are already reeling from their 2024 election losses and struggling to remain relevant as Trump's America First agenda dominates the political landscape. Now they're facing fresh questions about whether their staffers have been treating government service like a personal ATM.

Prediction markets have exploded in popularity, with platforms allowing users to bet on everything from election outcomes to policy decisions. But when congressional staffers - who have access to privileged information about upcoming votes, private meetings, and strategic discussions - participate in these markets, it raises serious ethical red flags.

Where's the House Ethics Investigation?

Patriots have to wonder: if this behavior was serious enough for Moulton to ban it, shouldn't there be a full House Ethics Committee investigation? And how many other Democrat offices are running similar insider trading schemes?

This scandal perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the Washington establishment that Trump is working to reform. While our President focuses on securing the border, cutting regulations, and putting America First, Democrats are apparently focused on gaming the system for personal profit.

How many more Democrat corruption schemes will surface before they finally learn that the American people are watching?

Wait, so staff members were betting on political outcomes they could potentially influence? That's not just corruption, that's a massive conflict of interest that should be illegal everywhere.

It should be treated the same as insider trading in the stock market. These people have access to information the public doesn't.

This is just the tip of the iceberg folks. If one office got caught, imagine how widespread this really is across DC.

FINALLY someone gets caught! This is exactly what we've been saying about the swamp creatures on both sides using their positions for personal gain.

Exactly! They get insider information and then profit off it while the rest of us play by the rules.

I work in corporate America and we have strict rules about trading on insider information. Why should Congress be any different? My company would fire me instantly for something like this.

At least this Democrat had the decency to ban it after getting exposed. How many Republicans would do the same? We need this standard across the board.
