The next time Chuck Schumer and his Democrat cronies want to paint ICE agents as the bad guys, they might want to remember this story. While the Senate Minority Leader continues his tired routine of calling Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations "really disturbing," these same agents just saved a little boy's life at a TSA checkpoint.
According to reports, ICE agents who were conducting routine operations at an airport immediately sprang into action when they witnessed a medical emergency involving a young child in the security line. Instead of being the "evil" enforcers that Democrats love to portray them as, these patriots became lifesavers.
But don't expect to see this heartwarming story plastered across CNN or MSNBC anytime soon. It doesn't fit their narrative that ICE agents are jackbooted thugs terrorizing innocent families. The reality? These are highly trained professionals who take an oath to protect ALL Americans - and they proved it once again.
"It's really disturbing and President Trump is asking for trouble," Schumer whined about ICE operations at airports during what he's calling a "partial government shutdown."
Asking for trouble? The only trouble here is Schumer's continued efforts to handcuff the very agents who keep our borders secure and our communities safe. While he's busy playing politics, ICE agents are out there doing the real work - enforcing our immigration laws AND saving lives when duty calls.
This isn't the first time we've seen ICE agents go above and beyond their call of duty. These men and women regularly assist in medical emergencies, natural disasters, and other crises because that's what real Americans do - they help their fellow citizens.
President Trump's decision to deploy ICE agents at airports isn't "asking for trouble" - it's asking for results. And those results include both enforcing our immigration laws AND having trained federal agents available when emergencies strike.
Maybe it's time for Schumer and his fellow Democrats to stop demonizing the heroes in ICE and start thanking them for their service. After all, the next life they save might just belong to one of his constituents.
