The radical left is at it again, folks. Socialist Senator Bernie Sanders and squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just announced their latest scheme to strangle American innovation and hand our technological leadership to China on a silver platter.
The two leftist lawmakers unveiled legislation Wednesday that would essentially freeze the construction of artificial intelligence data centers across America. Their excuse? They claim these centers "destroy jobs and American attention spans" – because apparently government bureaucrats know better than the free market about job creation.
"We need serious public debate and democratic oversight over this enormously consequential issue," Sanders declared, using the typical socialist code words for "we want government control over everything."
Let's be crystal clear about what's happening here: While President Trump is working to make America the world leader in AI and technology, these anti-American radicals want to pump the brakes so Congress can dream up more job-killing regulations.
China Celebrates While America Falls Behind
You can bet the Chinese Communist Party is celebrating this news. While we debate and regulate ourselves into irrelevance, China continues building their AI infrastructure at breakneck speed. Sanders and AOC might as well be on Xi Jinping's payroll with stunts like this.
The timing couldn't be worse – or more suspicious. Just as the Trump administration is unleashing American energy and innovation, the radical left wants to tie us up in red tape. These are the same people who killed thousands of jobs with their Green New Deal fantasies.
"AI and robotics are coming whether we like it or not," the socialists admit, yet they want to handicap America's ability to lead in these crucial technologies.
Patriots, this is exactly why we voted to drain the swamp and put America First. While Trump is fighting to secure our technological dominance, the radical left is actively working to sabotage our competitive advantage.
The question every American should ask: Do we want socialist bureaucrats controlling our technological future, or do we want American innovators leading the world? The answer should be obvious to anyone who loves this country.
