In a stunning display of political hypocrisy, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is now demanding that Democrats pledge to reject "AI money" from tech companies - conveniently after her party spent years cashing massive checks from the very same Silicon Valley giants.
The self-proclaimed Democratic Socialist from New York made the comments as artificial intelligence becomes a hot-button issue, apparently forgetting that her own party has been in bed with Big Tech for decades. Where was this principled stance when Facebook, Google, and Twitter were censoring conservatives and rigging elections in favor of Democrats?
Too Little, Too Late From the Squad
AOC's sudden concern about tech money rings hollow when you consider the facts. Democrats took millions from Big Tech companies during the 2020 and 2022 election cycles, money that helped fund their campaigns while these same companies were busy silencing conservative voices and suppressing stories like Hunter Biden's laptop.
"Politicians, especially Democrats, should promise not to accept AI money," Ocasio-Cortez reportedly said. But what about all the other tech money, Congresswoman? What about the censorship money? What about the election interference money?
This is classic leftist behavior - create a problem, benefit from it, then pretend to be the solution when it's politically convenient.
Meanwhile, President Trump has been consistent in calling out Big Tech's corrupt influence and promising to break up their monopolistic stranglehold on American discourse. The Trump-Vance administration has already signaled plans to investigate these companies' anti-competitive practices and restore free speech online.
The Real Question Patriots Should Ask
While AOC grandstands about "AI money," she's silent about her party's cozy relationship with the tech oligarchs who have been manipulating our elections and censoring our voices for years. This is nothing more than political theater designed to distract from Democrats' complicity in Big Tech's war on American democracy.
The American people see right through this charade. We remember who was taking the tech money when it mattered most - and it wasn't the America First movement fighting for our constitutional rights.
