House Speaker Mike Johnson is drawing a line in the sand against Senate RINOs who think they can sell out America's border security behind closed doors.
Johnson unleashed on Senate Majority Leader John Thune and his establishment cronies Friday after they cut a late-night deal to fund the Department of Homeland Security while deliberately excluding critical funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
"This gambit that was done last night is a joke," Johnson told reporters, making it crystal clear that the House won't roll over for another weak-kneed Senate compromise that puts illegal aliens before American citizens.
The Louisiana Republican is now pushing an eight-week DHS funding bill that actually includes the ICE funding that Thune's team mysteriously "forgot" to include. What a coincidence, right?
Deep State Sabotage or Senate Stupidity?
House Republicans are rightfully furious that the Senate would pull this stunt just as President Trump is ramping up his mass deportation operations. ICE agents need every dollar they can get to round up the millions of illegal aliens that Biden let flood into our country.
"We're not going to let the Senate undermine President Trump's deportation agenda with their backroom deals and swamp games," one House Republican told reporters.
This isn't just about funding – it's about whether Republicans will actually fight for the America First agenda that voters demanded in 2024, or if they'll cave to the same old establishment playbook that got us into this mess.
Johnson's eight-week proposal gives Congress time to craft a real border security package that actually funds enforcement instead of just throwing money at DHS bureaucrats who spend more time on diversity training than deporting criminals.
Will the Senate Cave or Fight?
The ball is now in Thune's court. Will he stand with President Trump and Speaker Johnson to secure our border, or will he side with Democrats who want to keep the invasion going?
Patriots across America are watching to see which Republicans are serious about the promises they made on the campaign trail – and which ones are just another batch of swamp creatures in conservative clothing.
