Patriots, we've seen this movie before β and it's getting old fast. While President Trump works tirelessly to deliver on his mandate for mass deportations, weak-kneed Senate Republicans are already signaling they're ready to cut deals with the very Democrats who created this border crisis in the first place.
The issue isn't whether ICE and Customs and Border Protection can secure funding β Trump's landslide victory made that crystal clear to anyone paying attention. The real problem is that establishment Republicans are once again preparing to let Democrats dictate the terms of engagement, just like they've done for decades.
Same Old GOP Playbook
How many times have we watched this pathetic dance? Republicans campaign on securing the border, win elections promising to get tough on illegal immigration, then immediately start looking for 'bipartisan compromise' the moment they get to Washington. Meanwhile, American communities continue suffering from the consequences of Biden's open-border disaster.
The American people didn't give Trump and Republicans control of government so they could play footsie with Chuck Schumer. They voted for results β specifically, the removal of millions of illegal aliens who have no business being in our country.
"The larger concern is not whether ICE and CBP can be funded, but whether Democrats will be allowed to set the conditions,"
This hits the nail on the head. Democrats are already working overtime to sabotage Trump's deportation efforts through procedural games and poison pill amendments. And instead of telling them to pound sand, too many Senate Republicans are ready to negotiate away Trump's mandate.
Time for Backbone
Here's the reality: Trump has both the constitutional authority and the electoral mandate to enforce our immigration laws. Period. Senate Republicans need to stop acting like they're asking permission from Democrats to do their jobs.
American taxpayers didn't send these people to Washington to be polite. They sent them to clean up the mess and restore law and order to our immigration system. If Senate Republicans can't handle that basic responsibility, maybe it's time for some new faces in 2026.
The question remains: Will GOP senators finally grow a spine and back their own president, or will they once again snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?
