The Democrat Party is eating its own as Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez (D-WA) publicly called for the expulsion of Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick (D-FL) following a devastating House Ethics Committee ruling that found the Florida Democrat guilty on 25 of 27 ethics charges.
The bombshell decision came after the first public House Ethics Committee hearing involving a sitting member since 2010, exposing the depth of corruption that has apparently been festering in Democrat ranks while they've been busy attacking President Trump.
While the mainstream media has largely ignored this story – shocking, we know – the implications are massive. When Democrats are calling for their own to be thrown out of Congress, you know the corruption runs deep.
The Swamp Protects Its Own... Until It Can't
For years, we've watched Democrats circle the wagons around their most corrupt members while simultaneously launching bogus investigations against President Trump and his allies. But apparently, even the swamp has its limits when the evidence becomes too overwhelming to ignore.
The fact that this required a public hearing – the first in over a decade – tells you everything you need about how serious these violations were. The Ethics Committee doesn't exactly have a reputation for being tough on its own members.
Meanwhile, President Trump continues to drain the swamp with his "America First" agenda, implementing real government efficiency through Elon Musk's DOGE initiative while Democrats are busy dealing with their own ethical disasters.
Where's the Media Coverage?
Imagine if this were a Republican facing 25 proven ethics violations. CNN would have wall-to-wall coverage, MSNBC would be calling it worse than Watergate, and every late-night comedian would be making jokes. But because it's a Democrat, crickets from the legacy media.
This is exactly why Americans voted overwhelmingly for President Trump's return to the White House – they're sick of the double standards and corruption that has infected Washington for far too long.
The real question now is: Will House leadership actually follow through with expulsion, or will this be another case of Democrats talking tough while protecting their own when the cameras stop rolling?
