One of America's most corrupt former mayors is desperately trying to resurrect her political career by fleeing to a new state and switching parties — but patriots in Georgia aren't buying what Tiffany Henyard is selling.
The scandal-ridden former Democratic mayor of Dolton, Illinois, announced on Facebook that she's moved to Fulton County, Georgia, and is apparently done with the Democrat Party that enabled her years of alleged corruption and financial mismanagement.
"You can't expect change without making a change," Henyard declared in her Facebook video, adding with typical arrogance, "Y'all ain't ready."
A Trail of Destruction in Illinois
Henyard's time as mayor of Dolton was marked by financial scandals, allegations of misusing taxpayer funds, and turning the small Illinois town into her personal kingdom. She also served as supervisor of nearby Thornton Township, doubling down on the kind of big-government overreach that has destroyed communities across America.
Now that her political career has imploded in Illinois — likely thanks to fed-up voters who got tired of her antics — she's trying to rebrand herself in Georgia. But switching your voter registration doesn't erase years of questionable leadership and alleged corruption.
"This is exactly the kind of political opportunism that real conservatives reject," said one Georgia Republican activist. "We don't need failed Democrat mayors carpetbagging their way into our state."
Henyard's move to Georgia — and apparent party switch — reeks of desperation. When your own party won't support you anymore, simply changing the letter next to your name doesn't magically transform you into a conservative champion.
Georgia Patriots See Right Through This
Real Republicans in Georgia have built a strong conservative movement based on principles, not political convenience. They've fought long and hard to turn their state red and support President Trump's America First agenda.
The last thing they need is a failed Democrat mayor showing up with baggage from Illinois, thinking she can fool Georgian voters with a fresh coat of paint on her political career.
Will Georgia Republicans fall for this transparent attempt at political resurrection, or will they send this carpetbagger packing back where she came from?
