PEAK WOKE: Toronto City Council Bans U.S. ICE Agents... Who Were Never Coming Anyway

Leave it to our woke neighbors up north to find a new way to embarrass themselves on the international stage. The Toronto City Council just passed a motion demanding that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents stay out of their city—apparently forgetting they live in Canada, where American federal agents have exactly zero jurisdiction.

That's right, folks. These brilliant Canadian politicians just spent taxpayer time and resources solving a problem that literally doesn't exist. It's like passing a motion to keep unicorns out of city hall—completely unnecessary but it sure makes the leftists feel good about themselves.

This laughable display of virtue signaling comes as President Trump's mass deportation efforts are already showing tremendous success here in America, where ICE agents actually have the authority to operate. While Trump and his administration are busy securing our borders and removing criminal illegal aliens, Canadian liberals are busy fighting imaginary battles.

Liberal Logic at Its Finest

The motion is peak liberal absurdity—all posturing, zero substance. These Toronto councilmembers wanted so desperately to stick it to Trump's immigration policies that they forgot basic geography and jurisdictional law. ICE operates under U.S. federal authority within U.S. borders. They're not exactly planning any raids in the Great White North.

This is what happens when Trump Derangement Syndrome crosses international borders. The man is so effective at securing America's immigration system that even foreign politicians feel compelled to grandstand against him—even when it makes absolutely no sense.

"This is virtue signaling taken to its most ridiculous extreme. These Canadian politicians are so desperate to oppose Trump's successful immigration policies that they're banning federal agents who were never coming in the first place."

Meanwhile, back in reality, ICE continues its important work of removing dangerous criminals from American communities under the Trump-Vance administration's America First agenda. While Toronto councilmembers waste time on meaningless gestures, President Trump is delivering real results for real Americans.

Perhaps Toronto should focus on their own problems instead of creating imaginary ones involving U.S. federal agencies. But then again, that would require actual governing instead of woke theater.

Wait, so they banned agents who weren't even planning to come? That's peak performative politics right there!

This is exactly what's wrong with virtue signaling politics. Toronto Council is wasting taxpayer time and money on symbolic gestures that accomplish nothing except making them feel morally superior.

Couldn't agree more. Meanwhile our roads are falling apart and they're focused on this nonsense.

I'm genuinely curious - does Toronto Council even have the authority to ban federal agents from another country? Isn't immigration enforcement a federal jurisdiction in Canada? This seems like municipal overreach.

Good point. Pretty sure immigration and foreign relations are exclusively federal powers under our constitution.

This perfectly illustrates how far left the political class has drifted from ordinary citizens. Most Canadians want secure borders and proper immigration enforcement, but our politicians are more concerned with virtue signaling to their progressive base.

My tax dollars at work folks. Instead of fixing the housing crisis or addressing crime, they're playing pretend politics.
