Sometimes the best political comebacks write themselves, and Georgia's radical Democrat Senator Jon Ossoff just served one up on a silver platter to Republican Congressman Mike Collins.

The liberal senator, who has consistently opposed common-sense voter ID requirements as supposedly "racist" and "suppressive," apparently had no problem requiring identification for his own events. The hypocrisy was so blatant that Collins couldn't resist delivering the perfect response that had conservatives across social media celebrating.

This is exactly the kind of sharp, no-nonsense pushback that Republican voters have been demanding from their elected officials. For too long, Democrats like Ossoff have gotten away with their double standards – claiming that requiring an ID to vote is somehow an impossible burden while simultaneously requiring IDs for virtually every other aspect of modern life.

The Left's Voter ID Lies Exposed

Think about it, patriots. You need an ID to:

• Buy alcohol or cigarettes
• Board an airplane
• Open a bank account
• Apply for government benefits
• Enter most federal buildings
• Attend Democratic political events, apparently

But somehow, according to Ossoff and his radical allies, requiring the same basic identification to vote is a bridge too far? Give us a break.

This perfectly encapsulates the intellectual dishonesty of the modern Democrat Party. They don't actually believe their own talking points about voter ID being "suppressive" – they just know that secure elections don't benefit their political prospects.

"Republicans with a sense of humor are exactly what this party needs more of," noted one conservative commentator celebrating Collins' response.

Under President Trump's leadership, we're seeing more Republicans finally willing to call out this nonsense with the kind of sharp wit and common sense that resonates with everyday Americans. No more playing defense on issues where we have overwhelming public support.

Ossoff's hypocrisy is a perfect reminder of why Georgia voters need to stay vigilant. The same politicians who lecture us about "voting rights" are the ones most threatened by actual election integrity measures.

How long will Democrats continue insulting American voters' intelligence with these transparent double standards?

Ossoff has been a disaster for Georgia from day one. We tried to warn everyone during the election but too many people fell for the media narrative.

Can someone explain to me how requiring voter ID is supposed to suppress votes? Every legal citizen should have identification anyway. What am I missing here?
R
RedStateRealistVerifiedjust now
You're not missing anything - it's just their excuse to keep elections less secure. They know most Americans support voter ID requirements.

The fact that Democrats fight so hard against basic election security measures tells you everything you need to know. If they were confident in winning fair and square, they wouldn't oppose common-sense safeguards.

Finally someone is calling out these Democrats for their double standards! You need an ID to buy groceries, get on a plane, or enter most government buildings, but somehow requiring it to vote is 'racist'? Give me a break.

Exactly! I had to show my ID three times just to pick up my prescription last week. The hypocrisy is unreal.

BOOM! About time someone exposed this nonsense!

I've been voting in the same precinct for 25 years and always had to show my driver's license. Never thought twice about it until politicians started making it controversial.
