Chief Justice John Roberts is at it again, folks. During Wednesday's Supreme Court arguments in Trump v. Barbara, Roberts questioned why the Trump administration even brought up birth tourism concerns in their fight to narrow birthright citizenship, asking what it has "to do with the legal arguments before the Supreme Court."
This is the same John Roberts who gave us Obamacare, remember? Now he's throwing cold water on President Trump's efforts to close the massive loophole that allows foreign nationals to fly to America, drop a baby on U.S. soil, and instantly create an American citizen.
Patriots on social media are absolutely furious. One user, @CityCastles, perfectly captured the frustration: "#OfCourseRoberts #IsQuestioningTheArgument #2MakeSureThatAnyPersonOnEarth #HasOnly2BirthAChildHere& #ThenChainMigrateThemselves& #RelativesIn2TheUSA #ScotusHasDoneLittle4USSovereigntySafety."
Roberts even called the government's examples "very quirky," according to live updates from the courtroom. Very quirky? Tell that to the thousands of pregnant foreign nationals who book flights to America specifically to birth their children here and secure citizenship through this constitutional loophole.
The Deep State's Favorite Justice Strikes Again
This shouldn't surprise anyone who's been paying attention. Roberts has consistently sided with the establishment swamp when it matters most. Whether it was saving Obamacare with legal gymnastics or failing to address obvious election irregularities, Roberts has proven time and again that he's more concerned with his legacy among Washington elites than protecting American sovereignty.
Birth tourism is a multi-billion dollar industry that makes a mockery of our immigration system. These aren't isolated cases – entire businesses exist to help wealthy foreigners game our system. But apparently, Chief Justice Roberts thinks addressing this fraud is "quirky."
The Supreme Court appears skeptical of Trump's order overall, with reports indicating multiple justices are questioning the administration's arguments. But why should we be surprised when the same court that refused to hear election challenges is now balking at closing immigration loopholes?
Americans voted for Trump twice specifically to end this madness. Will the Supreme Court once again betray the will of the people? Based on Roberts' performance, don't hold your breath.
