Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian just sent a multi-page letter to the American people, and folks, it's one of the most tone-deaf pieces of propaganda you'll ever see. This is the same regime that brutally massacred thousands of Iranian protesters just weeks ago – now trying to lecture Americans about peace and civilization.
In his desperate attempt at damage control, Pezeshkian painted Iran as a "peaceful civilization that has never initiated a war." Really? Tell that to the families of the 2,986 protesters his government slaughtered in the streets during recent uprisings against the Islamic regime.
Social media users weren't buying this garbage for one second. Iranian activist @nmebadi perfectly captured the absurdity: "Masoud Pezeshkian just wrote a letter to Americans about Iran being a peaceful civilization that has never initiated a war. This is the same man whose government, weeks earlier, presided over the largest street massacre in Iran's modern history."
"The so-called president of the Islamic regime in Iran, Pezeshkian, who has no authority to make any crucial decision and was officially told by the IRGC to shut up, wrote a letter to the American people," posted @empresstudio with laughing emojis.
Here's what Pezeshkian doesn't want you to know: He's essentially a puppet with zero real power. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) – the same terrorist organization that has been targeting American troops and interests across the Middle East – calls the shots in Iran.
One Twitter user hilariously pointed out another problem with Pezeshkian's strategy: "can't believe Pezeshkian wrote a multi-page letter and discussed historical events to make his argument... when will Iranian presidents stop overestimating the literacy and knowledge of the American people."
This pathetic letter comes at a time when President Trump is restoring American strength on the world stage. Unlike the weak Biden years when Iran felt emboldened to attack our allies and fund terrorism, the mullahs are now scrambling to avoid the consequences of their actions.
The Iranian people deserve freedom from this murderous regime – and they know it. That's why they're dying in the streets fighting for the liberty we take for granted. Pezeshkian's letter isn't diplomacy; it's desperation from a failing theocracy watching its grip on power slip away.
