In yet another stunning betrayal of American interests, France has sided with Russia and China to block a United Nations Security Council resolution that would have authorized military action against Iran over the Strait of Hormuz blockade.

The resolution, drafted by Bahrain and backed by Gulf states, sought approval for the use of force to defend critical shipping lanes in the Strait of Hormuz. But France – supposedly one of America's oldest allies – chose to stand with authoritarian regimes rather than support freedom of navigation in one of the world's most vital waterways.

Social media erupted with news of the shocking diplomatic move. "Russia, China, and France blocked Bahrain's Security Council resolution authorizing military force to reopen the Strait," reported one observer, highlighting the unlikely alliance between supposed Western ally France and America's primary adversaries.

Another post emphasized the gravity of the situation: "Russia, China, and France have jointly blocked a United Nations proposal that sought approval for the use of military force in the Strait of Hormuz, preventing the resolution from moving forward."

Macron's France Chooses Appeasement Over Strength

This isn't the first time France has stabbed America in the back on the world stage. From undermining NATO initiatives to cozying up to China, President Macron's France has repeatedly shown it values European "strategic autonomy" over the Western alliance that kept it free for decades.

The Strait of Hormuz carries roughly 20% of the world's oil supply, making it crucial to global energy security. Iran's threats to close this vital chokepoint directly impact American families through higher gas prices and economic instability.

While President Trump works to restore American energy dominance and protect our allies in the Gulf, France apparently prefers to enable Iranian aggression rather than stand up for international law and free commerce.

Patriots have to ask: with allies like France, who needs enemies? It's becoming crystal clear that America can only count on America when it comes to defending our interests and those of our true allies in the Middle East.

I served three tours in the Middle East and saw firsthand what Iranian proxies do to our troops. France's betrayal here puts more American lives at risk for their own political games.

This is exactly why we can't trust the French! They've been unreliable allies since the Iraq War and now they're protecting Iran while our soldiers are at risk.

Remember 'freedom fries'? Should have never forgiven them after that backstab in 2003.

Absolutely disgraceful! Iran is the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism and France is giving them cover.

Why are we still in NATO if our so-called allies keep undermining our foreign policy? France gets our protection but blocks us when it matters most.

Does anyone know what economic interests France has in Iran? There has to be oil money or trade deals behind this decision.

France has been trying to save the Iran nuclear deal for years. They care more about European trade than stopping terrorism.
