The fight for election integrity just scored two massive victories as Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves signed landmark legislation requiring proof of citizenship to vote, joining a growing wave of patriot states putting America First at the ballot box.

Both governors signed their respective citizenship verification laws this week, sending shockwaves through the Democrat establishment and their allies in the mainstream media who have fought tooth and nail against common-sense election security measures. The new laws require voters to provide documented proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote – a basic requirement that should have been standard practice decades ago.

Social media erupted with support from everyday Americans who've been demanding these protections.

"Florida Joins States Tightening Voter ID Requirements With Citizenship Proof Law," posted @Newsenm, highlighting the momentum building across red states.

The timing couldn't be better, as President Trump's second-term agenda emphasizes securing America's elections from foreign interference and ensuring only legal American citizens have a voice in choosing our leaders. Vice President JD Vance has been investigating potential fraud nationwide, prompting concerned patriots to demand comprehensive action.

"I appreciate VP Vance investigating fraud but please do not stop with just blue States. I live in Florida and I fully trust Gov. DeSantis but I don't believe he can watch everyone. Please investigate EVERY STATE. Just in case," tweeted @PamelaW18310217, echoing the sentiments of millions of Americans.

Of course, the radical left and their legal attack dogs are already filing lawsuits, claiming these basic citizenship requirements somehow suppress voting rights. But here's what they won't tell you: requiring proof of citizenship doesn't prevent a single legal American from voting – it only stops foreign nationals and illegal immigrants from canceling out your vote.

Florida and Mississippi now join states like Arizona, Georgia, and others leading the charge to restore faith in our election system. While Democrats scream about "voter suppression," patriot governors are delivering what their constituents demanded: elections where only Americans choose America's future.

Isn't it time every state followed their lead and put American citizens first?

This is just basic election security. How many other states are going to follow suit?

How is this even controversial? Every other country requires proof of citizenship to vote.

Hope Texas is next on this list. We need this nationwide before 2024.

Does anyone know what specific documents they're requiring? I want to make sure I'm prepared and can help my elderly neighbors understand the process too.

As someone who served this country, it's insulting that we've allowed our election system to become so loose. Thank you Florida and Mississippi for standing up!

Proud of my state for leading on this issue. When I moved here from New York, I had to show multiple forms of ID just to get a library card - voting should require at least the same standard.

Same here! DeSantis continues to deliver on his promises.

Finally! This should have been common sense from the beginning. How can we have election integrity when we don't even verify basic citizenship?

Exactly right. It's literally written in the Constitution that voting is for citizens.
