Senator Bill Cassidy's pattern of voting to fund the radical left's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) agenda is finally catching up with him as Louisiana Republicans prepare to primary the establishment RINO in 2026.
Records show Cassidy voted for at least four major pieces of legislation that pumped taxpayer dollars directly into the woke DEI bureaucracy that President Trump is now working to dismantle. While Trump fights to eliminate these divisive programs from federal agencies, Cassidy was busy helping Democrats build them in the first place.
Representative Julia Letlow and Louisiana Treasurer John Fleming, both running against Cassidy in the Republican primary, are making his DEI votes a centerpiece of their campaigns. And why wouldn't they? Louisiana voters didn't send Cassidy to Washington to fund left-wing social engineering experiments.
The RINO's Betrayal Runs Deep
This isn't just about a few bad votes – it's about a pattern of behavior that puts Cassidy squarely in opposition to the America First agenda. While President Trump is using his second term to root out woke ideology from government, Cassidy was one of the Republicans who helped plant it there.
DEI programs have been used to discriminate against qualified Americans based on their race and gender, turning merit-based hiring into a quota system that divides rather than unites. These programs waste billions in taxpayer dollars while promoting the same divisive ideology that parents are fighting against in schools across America.
Louisiana deserves a Senator who stands with Trump, not one who enables the swamp creatures and their woke agenda. Cassidy's votes speak louder than any campaign promise – he chose to fund the very bureaucracy that conservatives have been fighting against.
The 2026 primary can't come soon enough. Louisiana Republicans have a choice: stick with the RINO who helped build the DEI machine, or elect a true conservative who will help President Trump tear it down. The question isn't whether Cassidy will face a tough primary – it's whether Louisiana voters are ready to send a clear message that betraying conservative principles has consequences.
