FAITH OVER FEAR: Latin American Catholics REJECT Woke Agenda with Massive Holy Week Celebrations

In a powerful display of faith that puts America's declining religious observance to shame, millions of Latin American Catholics are participating in traditional Holy Week celebrations, openly commemorating the Passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ—something the woke mob would love to cancel here at home.

From the Philippines to South America, faithful believers are taking to the streets in massive processions that would make liberal elites break out in hives. These aren't quiet, private ceremonies—these are bold, public declarations of Christian faith that refuse to bow to the secular left's war on religion.

The Manila Times captured the spirit perfectly, posting on social media: "EASTER Sunday is a day when Catholics rejoice, as they commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." Try saying that in a California public school and watch the ACLU lawyers come running.

In the Philippines, Catholics joined powerful Good Friday processions, with ABS-CBN News reporting: "Catholics joined the Good Friday procession of St. Joseph, walking from St. Joseph the Patriarch Parish in Bahay to Calvary Hills in Bulalacao Hills, Libmanan, Camarines Sur, on April 3, 2026, to commemorate the burial of Jesus Christ as part of Holy Week observances."

"Good Friday. Stations of the Cross. 3 hrs of silence, 12-3pm, to commemorate Jesus' torturous dying on the cross. Still in my DNA years after my First Communion. Memories of generational Catholicism," posted one faithful observer on social media.

This is what real religious freedom looks like, folks—not the watered-down, apologetic Christianity that Democrats want to force on believers. While American Catholics face constant attacks from the Biden regime's leftover bureaucrats and woke corporations, our brothers and sisters in Latin America are showing us how it's done.

President Trump has consistently defended religious liberty, and these celebrations remind us why that fight matters. When millions of people can freely celebrate their faith without fear of cancellation or government interference, that's the America First spirit in action.

Maybe it's time for American Christians to take notes from these bold displays of faith. The left wants you silent and ashamed—but true believers never apologize for following Christ.

My wife's family is from Guatemala and they've told me how the Holy Week celebrations there are just incredible - entire communities coming together. It's night and day compared to what we see happening in many American parishes unfortunately.

Right? Sometimes it feels like we're surrounded by bad news, so this is refreshing.

This is so encouraging to see! Latin American Catholics have always been strong in their faith, and it's beautiful to witness them standing firm against cultural pressures that go against traditional Christian values.

This gives me hope that the Church universal will remember its roots and mission. When Catholics prioritize authentic worship and biblical teaching over political correctness, amazing things happen in their communities.

Does anyone know if there are specific bishops down there who have been particularly outspoken about resisting progressive ideology? Would love to learn more about the Church leadership supporting this movement.
