EXPOSED: Maryland Republicans Turn on Their Own as GOP Delegate Faces EXPULSION Over Absenteeism

The Maryland House of Delegates voted Friday to consider a resolution that would expel Republican Del. Christopher Bouchat in a stunning display of GOP infighting that has conservatives questioning whether Republicans have learned anything about party unity from Trump's electoral success.

The resolution, introduced by Republican Del. Lauren Arikan, targets Bouchat for allegedly skipping floor votes and committee meetings. But here's where it gets interesting - Bouchat actually tried to do the right thing by offering to donate his salary to charities, even leaving $1,000 checks on lawmakers' desks as a gesture of good faith.

Instead of accepting this charitable offer, the lawmakers "quickly voided the checks and alerted the General Assembly's ethics counsel," according to social media reports from the scene. Talk about looking a gift horse in the mouth.

"We have a lot of folks on the floor today who are fighting for their lives," Arikan said of her expulsion measure. "They are sick. They may have cancer." While we sympathize with anyone facing health challenges, using illness as political ammunition to target a fellow Republican seems like classic swamp behavior.

When Republicans Act Like Democrats

The backstory reveals even more dysfunction. According to reports, Bouchat had requested accommodations for his attendance issues, "but when she denied this request, he simply stopped showing up anyway." Rather than work out a reasonable solution, the GOP establishment chose the nuclear option.

This petty infighting is exactly what patriots are sick of seeing from establishment Republicans. While Trump is working tirelessly to implement his America First agenda with a unified Republican government, Maryland GOP lawmakers are wasting time and energy on internal power struggles.

The resolution will likely die in the House Rules Committee, making this entire spectacle nothing more than political theater designed to embarrass a fellow Republican.

Is this really how the GOP plans to support Trump's mandate for change? By cannibalizing their own members over attendance records while Democrats laugh from the sidelines? Maryland Republicans better wake up before they hand gift-wrapped victories to the radical left.

This is exactly what's wrong with the GOP establishment! They eat their own while Democrats stick together no matter what. We need to support our delegates, not throw them under the bus.

But if someone isn't showing up to do the job they were elected for, shouldn't there be consequences?

Accountability matters! If this was a Democrat missing votes, we'd be all over them for not representing their constituents.

I served on my local city council for 8 years and never missed more than 2 meetings. It's called responsibility - something that seems to be lacking these days.

This is why we keep losing!

I voted for this delegate and honestly I'm disappointed. We're already outnumbered in Maryland - we can't afford to have empty seats when important votes come up.

What's the delegate's side of the story? There could be family issues or health problems we don't know about.

Good point - the article doesn't really give details about why they've been absent so much.

The timing is suspicious right before election season. Sounds like party politics to me.
