The Republican National Committee is taking Virginia to court over an absolutely mind-boggling election law that lets people who have NEVER lived in the Commonwealth cast ballots in state elections. Let that sink in, Patriots – we're talking about non-residents having a say in who represents actual Virginians.

Filed in Richmond Circuit Court, the lawsuit involves the RNC, Virginia voter Matthew Hurtt, and RITE PAC challenging this election integrity nightmare that makes a mockery of the basic principle that voters should actually live where they vote.

How is this even legal? That's exactly what millions of Americans are asking as we watch Democrats defend every possible avenue for election manipulation while screaming about "voter suppression" whenever Republicans demand basic safeguards.

The Virginia GOP isn't backing down from this fight.

"Republicans will always fight for election integrity in our Commonwealth!" the Virginia GOP declared on social media
, showing they understand what's at stake here.

But predictably, the left is having a meltdown over efforts to ensure only actual residents vote in Virginia elections. One agitated Democrat on social media ranted about

"#TFG Trump Attack on #MailInVoting"
and claimed the effort represents
"#GOP_VoterSuppression."

This is the same tired playbook we've seen for years – Democrats label ANY attempt to verify voter eligibility as "suppression" while defending the indefensible. Since when is requiring voters to actually live in the state where they're voting considered controversial?

With President Trump back in office and Republicans controlling Washington, we're seeing a renewed push for election integrity nationwide. This Virginia lawsuit represents exactly the kind of common-sense reform that should have bipartisan support – but apparently asking non-residents not to vote in your elections is too much for today's radical left.

Every American should be asking their representatives: if Virginia allows non-residents to vote, what other election "quirks" are hiding in state laws across the country? The time for election integrity is NOW.

I moved here from Maryland three years ago and had to provide tons of documentation to register. Meanwhile my neighbor told me some people are voting with just utility bills from temporary addresses. Makes no sense.

Finally! This should have been done years ago. Only citizens who actually live in Virginia should have a say in Virginia's elections.

Absolutely agree! I've been watching this problem get worse every election cycle.

This is happening in swing states all across the country. Good on the RNC for taking action instead of just complaining about it afterwards.

Exactly! We need to be proactive, not reactive when it comes to election security.

What's the timeline on this lawsuit? Will it be resolved before the next major election cycle?

This is exactly why we need the RNC fighting for election integrity at every level.

About time! Every illegal vote cancels out a legal vote from actual Virginia residents.

I work as a poll volunteer and I've seen some questionable registrations come through. How exactly are they verifying residency currently?

Good question - from what I understand the verification process has been pretty weak. Hopefully this lawsuit will force them to tighten it up.
