Michigan's far-left Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed showed his true colors Tuesday, launching a disgraceful attack on President Donald Trump during a campaign rally at Michigan State University. The radical Democrat called our Commander-in-Chief Netanyahu's "dumbass" while questioning America's foreign policy regarding Iran.
"Why are we there? There is one country that benefits. One," El-Sayed told his crowd of supporters, clearly parroting anti-Israel talking points that wouldn't be out of place at a Hamas rally. But he didn't stop there – the unhinged candidate escalated his rhetoric, claiming Netanyahu "finally found a dumbass willing to do it," referring to President Trump.
Social media captured the shocking moment as El-Sayed's mask slipped completely. Journalist Jessica Costescu reported on X that El-Sayed asked the crowd "Why are we at war with Iran?" before delivering his profanity-laced insult against the President. When someone in the audience shouted "AIPAC," El-Sayed reportedly "grins and points right back," showing his comfort with anti-Semitic dog whistles.
"Netanyahu has been talking about taking a war to Iran for the better part of 40 years, and he finally found a dumbass government to do it!" El-Sayed declared, according to progressive outlet Status Coup.
This isn't just disrespectful – it's dangerous. Here we have a Democrat Senate candidate openly undermining our nation's foreign policy while using language that echoes the worst anti-Israel propaganda. El-Sayed's comments reveal the growing anti-Semitic wing of the Democrat Party that sees Israel as the enemy rather than Iran's terrorist regime.
What's particularly telling is how comfortable El-Sayed felt making these remarks at a public university, knowing the radical left audience would cheer his attack on both Trump and our ally Israel. This is the new Democrat Party – more concerned with appeasing Iran sympathizers than supporting America's interests.
Michigan voters need to ask themselves: Do they really want someone representing them in the Senate who calls the President of the United States a "dumbass" while echoing Iranian talking points? The choice couldn't be clearer.
