President Trump is delivering another massive win for everyday Americans by killing one of Barack Obama's most annoying legacy regulations – the automatic start-stop technology that has frustrated millions of drivers for years.

The Trump administration announced it's eliminating Obama-era "off-cycle credits" that incentivized automakers to install the widely hated automatic start-stop feature in new vehicles. This green agenda gimmick automatically shuts off your engine at red lights and restarts when you lift your foot off the brake – a feature that has drawn countless complaints from drivers across America.

Patriots on social media are celebrating this common-sense move. As Twitter user @bill1096 noted: "The Trump admin is rescinding an Obama-era climate regulation that pushed automakers to include drivers' most hated 'feature' on new vehicles."

Another user, @atombob357, shared the news enthusiastically, highlighting how the Trump administration is "eliminating Obama-era off-cycle credits that incentivized automakers to install automatic start-stop technology in vehicles."

Another Obama Regulation Bites the Dust

This is exactly the kind of regulatory relief that Trump promised – getting rid of pointless Washington mandates that make life harder for working families. The automatic start-stop technology was sold as an environmental solution, but in reality, it created more problems than it solved.

Drivers complained the feature was jarring, potentially harmful to engine components, and provided minimal if any real environmental benefit. Many were forced to manually disable it every time they started their cars – a perfect example of big government knowing better than the American people.

The move is part of President Trump's broader effort to roll back the regulatory state and put America First. By eliminating these Obama-era credits, automakers will no longer have artificial incentives to force unwanted technology on consumers.

This victory shows what happens when you have a president who actually listens to the American people instead of environmental extremists and Washington bureaucrats. How many more Obama regulations will Trump eliminate to make life better for hardworking Americans?

Thank God we have someone in office who actually listens to working Americans instead of environmental extremists.

Finally! Those automatic start-stop systems were nothing but a government overreach nightmare. My 2018 Ford would stall out at every red light and I'd have to restart it manually half the time.

Same here! Cost me $800 to get mine disabled at the dealership because it was so unreliable.

This is exactly why we voted for Trump - to roll back these ridiculous regulations that make our lives harder. Does anyone know if this applies to cars already manufactured or just new ones going forward?

Good question - I'm hoping my dealer can finally remove this 'feature' from my truck legally now.
