A Democratic congressional candidate in Iowa has ignited a firestorm of controversy after revealing that the September 11 terrorist attacks made her more concerned about "anti-Muslim bigotry" than the nearly 3,000 Americans who were murdered by Islamic extremists that day.
Sarah Trone Garriott, a Lutheran minister seeking a House seat, made the tone-deaf comments in an opinion piece defending her decision to read a Muslim prayer in the Iowa Senate in 2021. Rather than reflecting on the victims of America's deadliest terror attack, Garriott chose to focus on alleged discrimination against the very religious community whose radical elements carried out the massacre.
Twisted Priorities Reveal Democrat Mindset
"The September 11 attacks made me more aware of anti-Muslim bigotry and the harm it caused," Garriott wrote, demonstrating the warped worldview that has infected the modern Democratic Party. This is the same party that spent years downplaying Islamic terrorism while lecturing Americans about "Islamophobia."
Think about that for a moment, Patriots. While families across America were mourning fathers, mothers, sons, and daughters who died simply for going to work that Tuesday morning, this future Democrat politician was apparently worried about hurt feelings in the Muslim community.

This backwards thinking perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's radical left. They've become so obsessed with identity politics and victimhood narratives that they can't even properly honor the victims of the worst attack on American soil since Pearl Harbor.
Iowa Voters Deserve Better
Garriott's comments come as President Trump continues his mission to restore sanity to American foreign policy and properly identify the threats facing our nation. Unlike the previous administration's politically correct approach to national security, Trump 2.0 puts America First and refuses to apologize for protecting Americans from radical Islamic terrorism.
Iowa voters now have a clear choice: elect someone who understands that 9/11 was an act of war against America, or send another apologist to Congress who's more concerned with political correctness than protecting the homeland. The choice should be obvious.
