EXPOSED: Iowa Democrat Pastor Says 9/11 Taught Her About 'Anti-Muslim Bigotry' - Not Islamic Terror

A Democratic congressional candidate in Iowa is facing fierce backlash after revealing that her takeaway from the September 11 terrorist attacks wasn't about the dangers of radical Islamic terrorism – but rather about supposed "anti-Muslim bigotry" in America.

Lutheran minister Sarah Trone Garriott, who's seeking to represent Iowa in Congress, made the shocking admission in an opinion piece defending her controversial decision to read a Muslim prayer in the Iowa Senate back in 2021. According to reports, Garriott wrote that 9/11 made her more aware of "anti-Muslim bigotry" and the "harm" it caused to Muslim communities.

Let that sink in, Patriots. Nearly 3,000 Americans were murdered by Islamic terrorists on September 11th, and this Democrat pastor's main concern was protecting the feelings of Muslims who might face scrutiny afterward.

The Woke Church Problem

This is exactly what's wrong with the radical left infiltrating our churches and political system. While families across America were grieving the loss of innocent victims – firefighters, police officers, office workers, and passengers who fought back on Flight 93 – Garriott was apparently more worried about potential hurt feelings than the very real threat of jihadist terror.

"This is the kind of backwards thinking that has weakened America's defenses and made us less safe," said one Iowa Republican strategist who requested anonymity.

Garriott's comments reveal the dangerous mindset that has infected the Democratic Party – one that prioritizes political correctness over national security and victim-blames Americans for having legitimate concerns about radical Islamic terrorism after the worst attack on our soil since Pearl Harbor.

This is the same twisted logic that led to the Obama administration's refusal to even say "radical Islamic terrorism" and the Biden regime's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal that armed the Taliban with billions in American weapons.

Iowa Voters Deserve Better

Iowa families who lost loved ones on 9/11 and our brave servicemembers who fought overseas to prevent another attack deserve representatives who understand the real threats facing America – not woke pastors who think the biggest problem with 9/11 was hurt feelings.

Will Iowa voters send this backwards-thinking Democrat to Congress, or will they choose leaders who actually understand that America was the victim on September 11th?

As someone who served three tours in Afghanistan after 9/11, this makes my blood boil. We lost good men and women fighting the very ideology that attacked us, and now we have pastors making excuses for it?

This is exactly what's wrong with the Democratic Party today. How can anyone look at 9/11 and see anything other than the evil of radical Islamic terrorism? Those 3,000 innocent Americans deserve better than this twisted narrative.

Absolutely right. It's like they're more concerned with being politically correct than honoring the victims.

This is embarrassing for our state. We remember 9/11 here too and this pastor doesn't speak for Iowa values.

Unbelievable! The hijackers literally shouted 'Allahu Akbar' as they murdered innocent people, but somehow we're the problem for noticing the pattern?

The left always finds a way to make America the villain in every story.

What denomination is this pastor from? I'm genuinely curious because this kind of thinking seems to be spreading through certain mainline churches.

Probably Methodist or Presbyterian - they've gone completely woke in recent years unfortunately.
