Pope Francis is at it again, folks. Just three weeks into President Trump's triumphant return to the White House, the Vatican's top man can't seem to help himself from taking cheap shots at America's democratically elected leader.
While millions of Christians worldwide celebrate Trump's pro-life victories and his administration's unwavering support for religious liberty, Francis continues his tired routine of virtue signaling against the very man who moved our embassy to Jerusalem and defended persecuted Christians globally.
Here's what's really rich about this whole situation: the Pope was allegedly "elected" by a secretive cabal of cardinals who spent decades playing political games to climb the Vatican hierarchy. These are the same guys who covered up abuse scandals for years while lecturing the rest of us about morality.
"The papacy is one of the most unique institutions in the world. The pope is not 'elected' in any meaningful sense. A bunch of older males who played the same kind of political games that Republicans, Democrats, Communists, and Socialists play to get ahead, to become 'cardinal,' meet to fill a vacancy following the death of a pope."
Yet somehow Francis thinks he has moral authority to criticize Trump, who actually faced American voters twice and won decisively both times?
While President Trump focuses on securing our border, ending endless wars, and restoring American energy dominance, the Pope obsesses over climate change fantasies and open-border policies that would destroy sovereign nations.
Where Are Francis's Priorities?
Christians are being slaughtered in Nigeria, China continues persecuting believers, and Iran executes people for their faith. But what keeps Francis up at night? Apparently, mean tweets from Mar-a-Lago.
The American people see right through this charade. We elected Trump to drain the swamp and fight the global elite – and that includes religious leaders who've forgotten their actual mission.
Trump Derangement Syndrome has infected every institution, from our universities to our newsrooms. Now we can add the Vatican to that shameful list.
