Nancy Pelosi is back to her old tricks, playing dumb about one of the biggest national security scandals to rock Congress in recent memory. The former House Speaker had the audacity to claim she had "no idea whatsoever" about Rep. Eric Swalwell's compromising relationship with suspected Chinese spy Christine Fang, despite mounting evidence that Democrat leadership knew exactly what was going on.
Speaking at the American Public Transportation Association's legislative conference this week, Pelosi flatly denied that Democrats turned a "blind eye" to Swalwell's behavior. Really, Nancy? Are we supposed to believe that the woman who controlled every aspect of House operations somehow missed the fact that a member of the Intelligence Committee was potentially compromised by foreign agents?
"No idea whatsoever about these accusations," Pelosi claimed, maintaining the same stone-faced denial that has become her trademark when caught red-handed.
This is the same Eric Swalwell who spent years pushing the Russia collusion hoax while potentially being manipulated by Chinese intelligence. The same Swalwell who Pelosi kept on the House Intelligence Committee even after the FBI briefed congressional leadership about his connections to Fang, also known as "Fang Fang."
The Deep State Protection Racket Continues
Patriots, this isn't ignorance β it's willful blindness. Pelosi's claims don't pass the smell test, especially when you consider how quickly Democrats circle the wagons to protect their own. While they spent four years investigating phantom Russian ties, they turned a blind eye to actual Chinese infiltration in their own ranks.
The timing of Pelosi's denial is particularly suspicious, coming as the Trump administration continues its crackdown on foreign influence operations and demands accountability from the previous Congress. With Republicans now in control, the days of Democrat cover-ups and selective blindness are over.
How convenient that Pelosi suddenly develops amnesia when it comes to protecting a compromised colleague. Americans deserve to know: what did Nancy know, and when did she know it? And more importantly, how many other Democrats were willing to look the other way when national security was at stake?
