Six Republican turncoats joined Democrats in advancing legislation that would extend special protections for Haitian migrants for another three years, directly undermining President Trump's mass deportation agenda just weeks into his second term.
The House voted 219-209 Wednesday to advance Massachusetts Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley's bill extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti, with Democrats voting unanimously alongside the six GOP defectors and one independent.
This stunning betrayal comes as Trump has made crystal clear his intention to secure America's borders and end the abuse of programs that allow foreign nationals to remain in the country indefinitely. Yet these Republicans chose to side with radical Democrats instead of their own party's mandate from voters.
RINOs Enable Democrat Agenda
The Republican defectors handed Democrats a victory on immigration policy at the worst possible time. While Trump's team works around the clock to implement the largest deportation operation in American history, these six Republicans are actively working against him.
TPS was originally designed as temporary relief for countries facing natural disasters or armed conflict. But under the Biden regime, it became another pathway for mass migration, allowing hundreds of thousands to remain in America indefinitely while claiming "temporary" status.
"These so-called Republicans are more interested in virtue signaling than protecting American workers and communities," one immigration expert told Next News Network.
Haiti has been plagued by gang violence and political instability for years, but extending TPS indefinitely only encourages more dangerous illegal crossings and undermines legitimate immigration processes.
Voters Demand Accountability
Americans delivered a decisive mandate in 2024: secure the border and end the invasion. These six Republicans have chosen to ignore that mandate and side with the same Democrats who created the border crisis in the first place.
Patriots need to remember these names come primary season. The MAGA movement has no room for politicians who campaign on America First but vote with Ayanna Pressley when it matters.
Will grassroots conservatives hold these RINOs accountable, or will they continue enabling the Democrat agenda while claiming to support Trump?
