After nearly four years of investigation, federal prosecutors have finally hit the alleged January 5th pipe bomb suspect with serious terrorism charges that should have been filed from day one.
A federal grand jury returned a new indictment Wednesday against Brian Cole Jr., the man accused of planting pipe bombs near both the Democratic and Republican national committee headquarters on the eve of January 6, 2021. The upgraded charges now include terrorism-related counts and weapons of mass destruction charges that significantly escalate the case.
Cole now faces four federal counts, including interstate transportation of an explosive device and possession of a destructive device. The terrorism enhancement could mean decades behind bars if convicted.
Four Years Too Late
Here's what should infuriate every American: this case has been dragging on since 2021, while the Deep State and DOJ spent years prosecuting grandmothers who walked through the Capitol for "trespassing." Meanwhile, someone who allegedly planted actual BOMBS at both party headquarters was treated with kid gloves.
The timing raises serious questions. Why did it take the Trump administration's return to power for prosecutors to finally take this case seriously? Were the previous charges deliberately weak to avoid drawing attention to the suspicious circumstances surrounding January 6th?
"The American people deserve answers about why this case was handled so differently from other January 6th prosecutions," said one former federal prosecutor familiar with the case.
Remember, these pipe bombs were discovered at BOTH the DNC and RNC headquarters. This wasn't partisan violence - this was an attack on the entire political system. Yet somehow this case got buried while the Biden regime's DOJ spent years persecuting peaceful protesters.
Questions Remain
Patriots still want to know: How did it take four years to properly charge someone who allegedly planted bombs in Washington D.C.? What else has the Deep State been hiding about January 6th? And will we finally get the full truth now that Trump is back in the White House?
With Trump's new DOJ leadership under Attorney General Pam Bondi, Americans might finally get the transparent investigation they've been demanding. No more cover-ups. No more selective prosecution. Just equal justice under law.
