Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego just delivered a devastating blow to his former ally Eric Swalwell, admitting that his longtime friendship with the scandal-plagued congressman "clouded my judgment" as sexual assault allegations swirl around the California Democrat.
The stunning admission from Gallego represents a complete abandonment of Swalwell, who has been desperately trying to contain the damage from explosive rumors circulating throughout Washington's power corridors. When your own party starts throwing you overboard, you know the ship is sinking fast.
This is the same Eric Swalwell who was compromised by Chinese spy Fang Fang for years while sitting on the House Intelligence Committee. The same Swalwell who pushed the Russia hoax for four years. And now he's facing even more serious allegations that have his Democrat colleagues running for the exits.
The Swamp Protects Its Own - Until It Doesn't
What's particularly telling is how quickly the Democrat establishment is distancing themselves from Swalwell. For years, they circled the wagons around him despite his obvious security compromises with foreign agents. But apparently, these new allegations are too toxic even for the party that protected Joe Biden's laptop scandal and Hunter's international corruption.
"My friendship with Eric clouded my judgment," Gallego reportedly told sources, according to the report. "I should have seen the warning signs."
Translation: Gallego knew something was wrong but chose party loyalty over doing the right thing. How many other Democrats are staying silent about what they know?
This is exactly why Americans voted overwhelmingly for President Trump's return to Washington. Patriots are sick and tired of the two-tiered justice system where Democrats get away with everything while conservatives get persecuted for jaywalking.
Where's the FBI?
Of course, don't expect the same FBI that raided Mar-a-Lago to show the same enthusiasm for investigating a Democrat congressman. They're probably too busy manufacturing cases against Trump supporters to worry about actual crimes by their political allies.
The real question is: what did Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer know, and when did they know it? How long has the Democrat leadership been covering for Swalwell while he had access to our nation's most sensitive intelligence?
Americans deserve answers, and they deserve them now. How many more Democrat scandals are being hidden from We the People?
