Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) launched yet another unhinged attack on President Trump Wednesday, this time claiming our Commander-in-Chief is somehow "sowing division" that will ruin the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Because apparently, everything is Trump's fault in the twisted minds of desperate Democrats.
During a Senate appropriations subcommittee hearing, Van Hollen couldn't help himself from turning what should have been a celebration of America hosting the world's biggest sporting event into another pathetic anti-Trump rant. Meanwhile, Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) actually focused on the positive, calling the games "a great" opportunity for our nation.
What exactly is Van Hollen's evidence for this "toxic environment" he's crying about? Absolutely nothing concrete, of course. This is the same tired playbook we've seen for years - blame Trump first, find evidence later (or never).
America First Means World Cup Success
Here's what Van Hollen and his Democrat cronies can't stand: President Trump's America First agenda is making our country stronger, more respected, and more successful on the world stage. The 2026 World Cup, hosted jointly with Canada and Mexico, will showcase American excellence under Trump's leadership.
While Democrats waste time manufacturing fake controversies, Trump is busy securing our borders, strengthening our economy, and restoring American greatness. That's exactly the kind of leadership that will make the World Cup a tremendous success.
"This is just another example of Trump Derangement Syndrome reaching absurd new levels. Democrats can't even celebrate America hosting the World Cup without finding a way to attack our President."
Patriots across the country see right through this nonsense. Van Hollen and his fellow swamp creatures are terrified that Trump's second term is delivering real results for the American people. So they're grasping at straws, trying to manufacture outrage over a sporting event that's still months away.
The 2026 World Cup will be another shining example of what America can accomplish under strong, decisive leadership. No amount of Democrat whining will change that reality.
