A concerning pattern is emerging in New Jersey's NJ-11 special election as Republican candidate Joe Hathaway appears to be running away from President Trump's winning America First agenda, while his Democrat opponent Analilia Mejia proudly waves the socialist flag.
The Thursday special election to fill Governor Mikie Sherrill's former House seat has devolved into a classic case of a weak-kneed Republican trying to out-liberal the liberals instead of standing firm on the conservative principles that delivered Trump his decisive 2024 victory.
While hardworking Americans are celebrating the Trump-Vance administration's early wins on border security and government efficiency, Hathaway is apparently more concerned with appeasing the very same establishment swamp creatures that tried to destroy our movement for eight years.
Socialist Agenda on Full Display
Meanwhile, Mejia isn't even trying to hide her radical ideology. The Democrat candidate is pushing the same failed socialist policies that have turned blue cities into crime-ridden disasters and driven businesses fleeing to red states.
The clash extends to foreign policy, where the candidates are split on America's relationship with Israel - our strongest democratic ally in the Middle East. It's telling that while President Trump has consistently stood with Israel against Iran-backed terrorists, some Republicans still can't find their backbone on this critical issue.
Missing the Winning Formula
Here's what Hathaway doesn't seem to understand: Trump didn't win by playing it safe or apologizing for America First policies. He won by speaking truth to power and putting Americans first, not by cowering before the liberal media machine.
Patriots in New Jersey deserve a representative who will stand shoulder-to-shoulder with President Trump as he drains the swamp, secures our border, and brings manufacturing jobs back to America. They don't need another RINO who wilts under pressure from the same fake news media that spent years lying about Russian collusion.
The question remains: Will New Jersey voters reward weakness and establishment pandering, or will they demand a fighter who won't abandon the movement that's actually delivering results for everyday Americans?
