Six Republican turncoats just stabbed President Trump—and the American people—in the back by voting with Democrats to advance legislation that would extend special perks for Haitian migrants for another three years.
The House voted 219-209 Wednesday to move forward with Massachusetts radical Democrat Ayanna Pressley's bill extending Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti. Every single Democrat voted for the measure, but they needed help from backstabbing Republicans to get it across the finish line.
This is exactly the kind of establishment swamp behavior that President Trump was elected to drain. While Trump is working around the clock to secure our borders and prioritize American citizens, these six so-called Republicans are busy handing out participation trophies to illegal migrants.
The RINO Hall of Shame
Patriots need to remember which Republicans betrayed them when primary season rolls around. These six House members just proved they care more about virtue signaling to the liberal media than keeping their promises to constituents who voted for border security and America First policies.
The TPS program is supposed to be temporary protection for people from countries experiencing emergencies. But like every other government program, it's become a permanent welfare system that never ends. Haiti has been on TPS since 2010—that's 16 years of "temporary" status!
"This is absurd. We're rewarding people for breaking our immigration laws while legal immigrants wait years to come here the right way," one immigration expert told Next News Network.
Meanwhile, American families are struggling with inflation, crime, and the consequences of decades of failed immigration policies. But apparently these six Republicans think Haitian migrants deserve special treatment that struggling Americans don't get.
Trump's Deportation Agenda Under Attack
This vote directly undermines President Trump's mass deportation plans and sends a clear message that some Republicans still haven't learned their lesson about putting America First.
The bill now faces an uncertain future, but the damage is done. These RINOs have shown their true colors when it matters most.
How long will Republican voters tolerate representatives who campaign on border security but vote like Democrats when the cameras are rolling?
