Six Republican turncoats just stabbed President Trump and the American people in the back, voting alongside Democrats to advance legislation that would extend "Temporary" Protected Status for Haitian migrants for another three years.
The House voted 219-209 Wednesday to move forward with Massachusetts radical Democrat Rep. Ayanna Pressley's bill, which grants special protections and benefits to Haitian nationals already in the United States. Every single Democrat voted for the measure, along with six so-called Republicans and former GOP member Kevin Kiley of California.
This is exactly the kind of establishment betrayal that President Trump was elected to end. While Trump is working tirelessly to secure our borders and implement his mass deportation agenda, these RINOs are literally voting to extend benefits for foreign nationals who shouldn't be here in the first place.
America First? Not for These Republicans
The timing couldn't be worse. President Trump has made crystal clear that his second term will prioritize American citizens first, with a comprehensive plan to secure the border and remove illegal immigrants. Yet these six Republicans chose to side with the radical left instead of their own president and the voters who put them in office.
"If you came here illegally, you should not be rewarded with benefits and protections that encourage more illegal immigration," one immigration expert told conservative media outlets.
The so-called "Temporary" Protected Status has become anything but temporary – it's turned into a permanent welfare program for foreign nationals while American families struggle with inflation and economic uncertainty under the lingering effects of Biden's disastrous policies.
These six Republicans need to explain to their constituents why they're more concerned with protecting Haitian migrants than securing America's borders and putting American workers first. This vote proves that the swamp runs deeper than we thought, and even some Republicans are willing to undermine Trump's America First agenda.
Patriots need to remember which Republicans stood with the radical left when primary season comes around. Will these turncoats face consequences from voters who expected them to support Trump's immigration priorities?
