The party that spent years calling Trump supporters "fascists" and "Nazis" now has a real problem on their hands – and they're doing everything they can to ignore it. Graham Platner, the Democratic frontrunner for Maine's U.S. Senate seat, is literally wearing his Nazi sympathies on his chest in the form of an SS "deathshead" tattoo.
Yes, you read that correctly. While Democrats spent the better part of a decade screaming about imaginary Nazi dog whistles and manufactured outrage over conservative policies, they're now rallying behind a candidate who chose to permanently ink actual Nazi imagery onto his body.
The SS deathshead symbol was worn by Nazi concentration camp guards and represents one of the most evil organizations in human history. Yet somehow, this is the man Maine Democrats are preparing to nominate for the United States Senate.
Where's the Media Outrage?
Imagine for just one moment if a Republican candidate – any Republican candidate – was discovered to have Nazi tattoos. The legacy media would be running wall-to-wall coverage, demanding investigations, and calling for immediate withdrawal from the race. CNN would have entire panels dedicated to discussing the "rise of fascism" in the Republican Party.
But because Platner has a "D" next to his name, the silence is deafening. The same media that manufactured controversies out of thin air for conservative candidates can't seem to find the time to cover actual Nazi symbolism when it's on their team.
This hypocrisy perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with the modern Democratic Party and their media allies. They'll destroy innocent Americans over manufactured scandals while protecting their own candidates who display genuine symbols of hate and oppression.
Maine voters deserve better than a Nazi tattoo-wearing hypocrite representing them in Washington. But don't hold your breath waiting for Democratic leadership to do the right thing – they're too busy protecting their power to care about their principles.
How can Democrats continue to call themselves the "anti-fascist" party when they're literally nominating candidates with SS tattoos?
