Just three weeks into President Trump's second term, Congressional Republicans are already stabbing each other in the back over a critical Department of Homeland Security funding bill that could make or break the America First agenda.
Sources on Capitol Hill reveal that GOP senators are split between passing a "skinny" reconciliation bill focused solely on border security and deportations versus an "obese" package loaded with Iran war costs and other legislative pet projects that have nothing to do with securing our homeland.
This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that Patriots voted against in November. While President Trump is working around the clock to deliver on his promise of mass deportations and border wall completion, establishment Republicans are more concerned with their own political games than protecting American families.
Deep State Tactics at Work
The timing of this GOP civil war is no coincidence. The administrative state and their Republican allies know that Trump's DHS agenda represents an existential threat to their open borders agenda. By creating chaos and delay in Congress, they're hoping to run out the clock on critical deportation funding.
"We're seeing the same old song and dance from the establishment," one House conservative told reporters. "They promise to support Trump during election season, then find every excuse to water down his agenda once they're back in Washington."
Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem needs this funding immediately to execute Trump's deportation operations. Every day Congress delays means more criminal aliens remain on American streets, threatening our communities.
RINOs Show Their True Colors
The senators pushing for the bloated "obese" bill are the same Republicans who have consistently undermined conservative priorities. They're using Iran war funding as a trojan horse to stuff the bill with wasteful spending that has nothing to do with homeland security.
Meanwhile, everyday Americans are watching their tax dollars get hijacked by politicians more interested in foreign adventures than protecting the homeland. This is precisely why Trump won a mandate to drain the swamp and put America First.
The question remains: Will Congressional Republicans get their act together and fund Trump's deportation agenda, or will they continue playing politics while criminal aliens pour across our border?
