The political career of scandal-plagued Rep. Eric Swalwell has finally hit rock bottom, with the California Democrat dropping out of his state's gubernatorial race in what sources describe as a "stunning collapse" that has sent shockwaves through the party's establishment.
According to a new poll published Thursday, Swalwell's hasty exit has created an opening for former Obama Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra, another radical leftist who promises to continue California's downward spiral into chaos and decline.
From Spy Scandals to Political Irrelevance
Patriots will remember Swalwell as the congressman who got cozy with Chinese spy Fang Fang while sitting on the House Intelligence Committee - a security breach so egregious it would have ended any Republican's career immediately. But in today's Democrat Party, cozying up to Communist spies apparently just makes you a laughingstock rather than a serious contender for higher office.
"Swalwell's exit shows that even California Democrats have limits when it comes to national embarrassments," said one GOP strategist. "When you're too toxic for the party that gave us Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom, that's really saying something."
"The fact that Swalwell thought he could run for governor after his spy scandal shows just how delusional the radical left has become."
Bad News for California Families
With Swalwell out, the Democratic primary now features billionaire Tom Steyer and other establishment figures vying for the chance to finish what Newsom started - the complete destruction of what was once America's most prosperous state.
Becerra, who previously served as California's Attorney General before joining Biden's disastrous administration, represents more of the same failed policies that have driven families and businesses fleeing to red states like Texas and Florida.
The question isn't whether California can survive another radical Democrat governor - it's whether there will be anything left to govern after years of crime, homelessness, and economic devastation. Will common-sense Californians finally wake up and demand change?
