Idaho just showed the rest of America how to fight back against the woke education cartel that's been poisoning our children's minds while living high on taxpayer dollars.
House Bill 516a, which became law last April, officially prohibits school districts from using public funds to support teachers' unions β ending decades of forced taxpayer subsidies for organizations that spend more time pushing radical gender ideology than actually educating kids.
"That's just restoring neutrality," supporters of the bill declared, and they're absolutely right. Why should hardworking Idaho families be forced to bankroll the very unions that are indoctrinating their children with critical race theory and transgender propaganda?
American teachers' unions have become nothing more than political attack dogs for the radical left. Instead of focusing on reading, writing, and arithmetic, these corrupt organizations have transformed our schools into leftist recruitment centers where children learn to hate America and question their own gender.
Taxpayers Finally Fight Back
For too long, parents have watched helplessly as their tax dollars flowed directly into the coffers of unions that actively work against their values and their children's best interests. These same unions held schools hostage during COVID, keeping kids locked out of classrooms while teachers collected full paychecks from home.
"We're done subsidizing our own destruction," one Idaho parent told local media. "If unions want to push their woke agenda, they can do it with their own money."
The legislation specifically targets school districts and their agents from using public funds to support union activities β a common-sense reform that should have happened decades ago.
This is exactly the kind of bold action we need to see in every red state across America. While Trump's Department of Education works to dismantle the federal education bureaucracy, states like Idaho are leading the charge at the grassroots level.
The question every parent should be asking: when will YOUR state follow Idaho's lead and stop forcing you to fund the very people destroying your children's education?
