DEEP STATE WINS: Senate Saves Controversial FISA Spying Powers After House FUMBLES Critical Vote

In a stunning late-night development, the U.S. Senate unanimously voted to extend the controversial Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) powers after the House spectacularly failed to reauthorize the program before its looming deadline.

The temporary extension hands another victory to the Deep State apparatus that has repeatedly abused these surveillance tools to spy on American citizens – including President Trump during the Russia hoax witch hunt.

House Republicans Drop the Ball

The House's failure to act represents a massive missed opportunity to finally reign in the out-of-control intelligence agencies that have turned these supposed "foreign" surveillance powers into a domestic spying operation against We the People.

Patriots have been fighting for years to either kill FISA Section 702 entirely or implement serious reforms that would prevent the FBI from conducting backdoor searches on Americans without warrants. Instead, the surveillance state gets to live another day.

"This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump was elected to drain," said one conservative legal expert who requested anonymity. "The same agencies that spied on Trump's campaign now get to keep their toys."

The FISA program has been plagued by abuse scandals, from the Carter Page warrant debacle that launched the Trump-Russia investigation to recent revelations that FBI agents routinely search American communications without proper justification.

Where Was the MAGA Resistance?

The question now is whether Trump administration officials will use this extension period to push for real reforms or allow the intelligence community to continue operating with minimal oversight.

With Trump back in the White House and patriots like Tulsi Gabbard leading the intelligence community, there's still hope that these surveillance powers could be reined in before they're permanently reauthorized.

But this Senate vote proves the swamp runs deep – even with Republican control, the establishment's surveillance apparatus remains untouchable. How much longer will Americans tolerate being spied on by their own government?

As someone who's been following FISA abuses since the Carter Page scandal, this outcome was sadly predictable. When will Republicans learn that the intelligence agencies will use these powers against ANYONE who threatens the establishment?

This is exactly why we can't trust establishment Republicans in the House - they had ONE job and completely blew it! The deep state surveillance apparatus continues to trample our constitutional rights while Congress plays politics.

Couldn't agree more. These RINOs talk a big game about the Constitution during campaign season but fold like a cheap suit when it matters.
