Kid Rock opened for President Donald Trump in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday, delivering an introduction that touched on faith, the media, and the November midterms before the president took the stage.

The president announced the trip earlier in the day. "We're heading to Tennessee," Trump said. "We're going to get a couple of great congressmen elected, etc. We have a wonderful senator that we're going to get elected. Bill is going to be great."

Trump also touted the economy on his way out. "Our economy is literally, we've never had anything like it," he said. "It's so good. In terms of factories, plants, everything else being built. We've never had anything like it."

Trump landed at Fort Campbell, a short drive from the rally in Clarksville.

'ONE NATION UNDER GOD'

Kid Rock's closing line drew the loudest reaction of his set. "We are not and we will never be one nation under Muhammad because we are and we always will be one nation under God," he said.

The musician opened with a statement of faith. "Jesus is King, and for His glory I will sing, so pray for my salvation, and do the right thing," he said.

He turned next to the press, which he blamed for distorting the president's record. "I believe the media has become public enemy number one," Kid Rock said. "When it comes to honest debate, too often we see facts twisted into half-truths, outrage, soul for clicks and views, and a liberal agenda packaged as the honest reporting. Division has become their business model, and business is booming."

He added a jab at the president's opponents. "Literally, President Trump could walk across the Cumberland River, and tomorrow the headline would say, President Trump refuses to swim."

PRAISE FOR TRUMP, CONTRAST WITH BIDEN

Kid Rock credited Trump's record and drew a line back to the Biden years. "This man's not a puppet. He's the first president I can recall who doesn't need a teleprompter to tell you what he thinks. He's without a doubt the toughest, most resilient president we've ever had," he said.

"But how quick, talking to you people, how quick, they fail to remember, give him credit after what Joe Biden did to this nation. He shut down the board in about five days."

Kid Rock laid out what he said was at stake in the coming election. "If you want open borders, teachers, unions, indoctrinating your kids, higher taxes, huge inflation, the redistribution of wealth, and your hard earned tax dollars supporting these bombs who won't take responsibility for themselves, but they keep having kid after kid. Go ahead, vote for those nut jobs."

He balanced that with a note on helping the less fortunate. "Should we help people out? Absolutely. The Bible tells us so. But compassion shouldn't mean a blank check. And working hard shouldn't make you Washington's ATM."

He closed by pointing the crowd toward the ballot box. "Friends, neighbors, you know what to do? Show up, vote red and do not let them California or Tennessee."

He then introduced Trump as "the 45th, probably the 46th, definitely the 47th President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump."

The White House was direct about the visit as the crowd gathered."
