White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt received public praise from the Rapid Response 47 account on Sunday evening, hours after the same account pushed back on criticism of empty seats at a press briefing.

"Thank you, @karolineleavitt! ❤️" the account posted at 9:06 p.m., a message that quickly drew thousands of likes.

The show of support followed an earlier post defending the seating arrangement in the briefing room. "The Fake News never stops," the account wrote at 5:33 p.m. "Those seats were purposely left empty. Anyone sitting in them would've had their view entirely obstructed by the gigantic press risers in front of them."

Minnesota shooting arrest

Later in the evening, the account turned to a crime story out of Minnesota, reporting that Adam Abdihakeem Adam had been arrested for shooting up a suburban high school football game.

"Police believe the shooting to be connected to rival Somali gangs," the post said. It added that "a Radical Left judge immediately granted him a no-condition bail."

The post did not identify the judge, the court, or the exact charges. It did not say when the shooting occurred or whether anyone was injured.

'Ilhan Omar is AWOL'

Shortly after midnight, the account shared a letter to the editor published by the Twin Cities Pioneer Press under the headline "Letters: @IlhanMN is AWOL."

The letter, written by a reader, asked why U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar had not taken a position on "the latest developments of an attempted mass shooting at Mall of America by an 18-year-old Somali in the name of eliminating non-Muslim persons."

The letter went on to question whether Omar supports "this type of action" or is "ashamed of parts of the Somali community fraudulently taking millions / billions of dollars from taxpayers to fund their own 'super rich' lifestyles, while complaining that the rest of Minnesota's population is racist and can't be trusted."

It also referenced a past statement by Omar about the September 11 attacks. "But wait a minute … maybe 'some people did something' will be the feeble answer; just like she stated in response to the 9/11 disaster In New York," the letter said.

The letter concluded by calling on Omar to "either show your 'leadership' in fixing this mess or resign."

The published letter also included unrelated commentary on a dispute between St. Paul Police Chief Axel Henry and Mayor Kaohly Her, but the Rapid Response 47 account excerpted only the portion concerning Omar.
