The White House on Tuesday released a Council of Economic Advisers report on American manufacturing, declaring that the sector is experiencing robust growth under President Trump's pro-growth policies. The report, titled "The State of American Manufacturing," was published October 10 and promoted across the administration's social media accounts.
"The state of American manufacturing is strong," the White House posted. "After years of the Biden Administration shipping labor overseas, President Trump is fighting for the American worker."
CEA Report Details Manufacturing Gains
According to the report, manufacturing jobs are reshoring in America after the Biden Administration shipped over 200,000 American jobs overseas in its last two years. Factory construction is soaring as President Trump's tariff policies incentivized companies to make their products in the United States.
The report highlights that Made-in-America manufacturing positions the United States at the forefront of critical industries for national security, including aerospace, aircraft equipment, natural gas and petroleum production, and metals. The United States is now the world's largest energy exporter, and the report points to a new renaissance in American steel production reinforcing domestic industrial capacity.
"The manufacturing resurgence we are witnessing reinforces America's dominance as a global leader, but also has positive impacts on the labor sector as we see more American jobs, increased wages, and company expansions that stimulate Main Street local economies and communities nationwide," the report states.
The CEA analysis outlines how the United States is pioneering the technology frontier, reshoring production, and says President Trump's pro-growth, pro-investment approach is contributing to a new American Golden Age.
White House Highlights Broader Economic Record
The manufacturing report followed a video released Monday by the White House detailing what it described as President Trump's achievements in a year and a half of his second term. The video highlighted a range of policy actions including rebalancing trade, protecting American manufacturing, rebalancing NATO, securing energy, and fighting drug cartels.
According to the video transcript, President Trump "has completely rebalanced from trading relationship with Canada," "has protected American manufacturing and essential supply chain from China," and "has completely rebalanced NATO and ensured that other nations pay their fair share."
The video also states that the President "single-handedly toppled the Maduro and secured the greatest food for America's energy and supply chains, probably in the history of our country." It further states that he "stopped the Islamic bureaucracy of Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon."
On domestic policy, the transcript says, "He's unleashed American energy. He's building pipelines. He's bringing the price of gas down from the heinous highs of the Biden administration. He's taken inflation from the highest level in American history down to two percent."
The video cites tax relief measures including "No tax on tips. No tax on social security. No tax on overtime." It also claims "The largest reduction in murder since 1900," "The lowest violent crime rates that have ever been recorded," and that the administration "took the most unsecured, dangerous, violent, hellish border in the history of our republic" and achieved "15 straight months of zero releases."
The White House also posted a message thanking American farmers: "America's farmers are the backbone of our nation. From sunrise to sunset, hardworking men and women feed, fuel, and strengthen our country. To farmers across America: Thank you for all you do!"
