The White House is promoting President Trump's second-term record, saying he has addressed long-standing national problems in a year and a half back in office.
In a post from the official @WhiteHouse account, the administration listed a series of achievements: rebalanced trade, protected American manufacturing, rebalanced NATO, the toppling of Maduro and secured energy for America, and the fight against drug cartels.
The post accompanied a video making the case in detail.
'A Year and a Half'
The narrator opens by framing the scope of the claims.
"President Trump has been in office in the second term for a year and a half and has solved problems that plague this nation for decades generations or even longer," the video says.
On trade and manufacturing, the video states: "He's completely rebalanced from trading relationship with Canada. He has protected American manufacturing and essential supply chain from China."
On alliances, it says: "He has completely rebalanced NATO and ensured that other nations pay their fair share."
The video also states that he "is now pursuing peace in the Korean Peninsula."
Maduro, Cartels, and Iran
The administration credits the president with the fall of the Venezuelan regime and with gains in energy.
"President Trump has single-handedly toppled the Maduro and secured the greatest food for America's energy and supply chains, probably in the history of our country," the video says.
On cartels, the video says: "He's taken the fight to the drug cartels that cleared them a foreign terrorist organization, used military power to fight these enemies."
And on Iran: "He stopped the Islamic bureaucracy of Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon."
Energy, Inflation, and Taxes at Home
The video turns to domestic policy next.
"And now you come at home. He's unleashed American energy. He's building pipelines. He's bringing the price of gas down from the heinous highs of the Biden administration."
On inflation, the White House says: "He's taken inflation from the highest level in American history down to two percent."
The video also points to tax changes, calling them "the largest tax of American history," and lists: "No tax on tips. No tax on social security. No tax on overtime."
Crime and the Border
The closing section addresses crime and immigration.
"The largest reduction in murder since 1900. The lowest violent crime rates that have ever been recorded," the video says.
And on the border: "And he took the most unsecured, dangerous, violent, hellish border in the history of our republic."
The video ends with the administration's claim of "15 straight months of zero releases."
