U.S. Treasurer Brandon Beach has a challenge for every red-blooded American patriot with a few dollars in their pocket: take the newly minted President Donald Trump dollar coin to your favorite liberal coffee shop next month and watch the reaction.

In a video posted Wednesday to the Treasury Department's official TikTok account, Beach is seen removing rolls of the gold-colored $1 coins from a bank. The challenge, according to Fox Business, is simple. Get a roll of the Trump dollar coins when they hit banks next month, walk into a liberal coffee shop, and buy a cup of coffee.

"This is the dollar coin. It will be in the banks next month," Beach said in the clip. "And I want to challenge you to go get a roll of dollar coins next month. And then I want you to go to your favorite liberal coffee shop with your top dollar coins. Buy a cup of coffee. Watch their heads explode. They will not like it. But I love it. And I love this president. And I love this coin."

They were first offered for sale through the U.S. Mint in September, with a 25-coin roll priced at $61 and a 100-coin bag at $154.50 -- significantly above face value.

According to the Mint's product description, the coins were produced at the Philadelphia Mint with circulating finishes but had not been placed into circulation when offered for sale. The Mint also noted in a September post on X that the coins are "also in circulation, so check your pocket change." They remain legal tender. It is the first time in a century that a living president has appeared on U.S. currency, made possible through the semiquincentennial commemorative process.

Fox Business reported that the Treasury Department did not immediately clarify the coins' availability at commercial banks, the distribution schedule, or whether customers will be able to obtain them at face value. The coins are not currently listed on the Mint's website, though Beach indicated they will be restocked next month.

Beach is a Trump-appointed treasurer and a former Georgia state lawmaker. His challenge is the latest in a series of moves from the Trump-Vance administration aimed at celebrating American history and pushing back against the cultural gatekeepers who have spent years dismissing patriotism as something to be ashamed of.

The timing is notable. As the Treasury rolls out a coin honoring the nation's 250th birthday and the president who presided over it, the response from the left has been predictably hostile. The same pundits who spent years telling Americans that we need to "reimagine" our history now have to watch a gold coin with Trump's face on it circulate through every coffee shop in the country.

The Trump dollar coin is available for collectors, but Beach's challenge leans on something more provocative: using the coin as actual currency. That means bank tellers, cashiers, and yes, baristas at the local progressive coffee house will have to handle it. For many Americans, the appeal is not just collecting -- it is using.

The Treasury did not respond to Fox Business's request for clarification on distribution details. What is known is that the coins are legal tender, they exist, and next month, they will be in banks. What is not yet known is how many Americans will take Beach up on his challenge -- or how many heads will actually explode.

The broader rollout comes as the Trump administration continues its push on multiple fronts: border security, energy dominance, deregulation, and a full-scale effort to restore American pride after four years of the Biden regime's apologizing and groveling on the world stage.

The coin is not just a commemorative item. It is a message. And Beach is daring Americans to deliver it -- one cup of coffee at a time.

Our Take

This is exactly the kind of unapologetic, in-your-face patriotism the Trump administration was elected to deliver. For too long, conservatives have let the left dictate the terms of the culture war. We've been told to keep our heads down, to be polite, to not make waves. Those days are over.

Brandon Beach is not just promoting a coin. He is promoting a mindset: stop hiding your beliefs, stop apologizing for loving this country, and stop letting the liberal gatekeepers act like they own every public square -- including the coffee shop counter. The dollar coin is a small thing. But symbols matter. And the symbolism here is unmistakable: the 250th anniversary of the United States, a president who fought for the people against the swamp, and a currency that says "In God We Trust" at a time when the left wants God out of everything.

Critics will call this petty. They will call it divisive. They will say it's beneath the office of the Treasury. To them we say: get over it. The left spent eight years trying to destroy Trump, his family, and his supporters over a cup of coffee. If a gold coin makes their heads explode, that's on them.

So here's the challenge for every patriot reading this: when those coins hit the banks next month, go get a roll. Support the Treasury. Support the president. Support the 250th anniversary of the greatest nation on earth. And if you happen to be near a liberal coffee shop -- maybe buy a cup. You might just make someone's day. Or ruin it. Either way, you'll be spending legal tender with the face of the 47th President of the United States on it. That, folks, is a win.

Are you taking the challenge?

My husband did this last week at a coffee shop that had a Bernie sticker in the window. The barista rolled her eyes but took the coin. Small victories!

Love this idea! Every Trump dollar spent at a liberal coffee shop is a tiny act of protest they can't refuse. I'm heading to the one downtown tomorrow morning.

Question - are these coins actually legal tender, or is this more of a symbolic thing? I want to make sure I'm not causing trouble at the register for no reason.

They're legal tender if they're minted as commemorative dollars, but a lot of businesses may not recognize them right away. Just be patient and have a backup card.

I looked it up, they're legit. Worst case the cashier has to call a manager, which is kind of the point.
