The Trump Administration has secured more than $280 billion in foreign direct investment through SelectUSA, according to the U.S. Department of Commerce's International Trade Administration. That figure surpasses the $255 billion total achieved during all previous program years since the program's launch in 2011.

The announcement came Friday as the 2026 SelectUSA Investment Summit concluded, with officials crediting President Trump and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick for attracting record levels of foreign investment into the United States.

Unprecedented Foreign Investment Under Trump

The $280 billion already secured during the Trump Administration is more than four times the $68 billion generated during the same time period under the Biden Administration. The investment total includes more than 345 projects expected to support approximately 55,000 American jobs.

"SelectUSA has helped secure more than $280 billion in foreign direct investment (FDI) during the Trump Administration—exceeding the combined total achieved during all previous program years since SelectUSA's launch in 2011 ($255 billion)," the International Trade Administration said in a statement.

2026 Summit Catalyzes $56 Billion

This year's Investment Summit catalyzed more than $56 billion in new and planned investment commitments, with over 5,500 participants from 100 markets attending. The event hosted more than 1,100 economic developers representing 55 U.S. states and territories.

"Under the leadership of President Trump and Secretary Lutnick, the United States is attracting unprecedented levels of FDI as companies around the world seize the opportunity to invest, expand, and manufacture in America—driving economic growth, strengthening American industry, and creating more jobs for American workers," the statement continued.

Looking Ahead to 2027

Registration is now open for the 2027 SelectUSA Investment Summit, scheduled for May 2-5 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland. Attendees can expect to hear from senior Trump Administration officials, C-suite executives, and industry leaders.
