The White House is warning that amnesty for millions of illegal aliens released into the country under the previous administration could leave American taxpayers with a bill of up to $613 billion over the next decade.

According to the White House Council of Economic Advisers, if Democrats succeed in passing their open borders agenda, the cost to taxpayers would range between $440 billion and $613 billion over ten years. That estimate assumes that all eligible individuals enroll in government spending programs.

The analysis breaks down the cost of federal benefits alone. Programs like SNAP, HUD housing assistance, and Medicaid could cost taxpayers between $361 billion and $475 billion over the next decade if amnesty is granted to the illegal alien population.

White House Slams 'Extreme Open Border Policies'

A White House spokesperson issued a stark warning about the consequences of Democrats' amnesty push.

"Radical Democrats want to go back to their extreme open border policies and grant amnesty to the illegal aliens they released into our communities," the spokesperson said. "Not only will these radical policies make America less safe, but they will cost the American taxpayer billions of dollars."

The White House connects these policies directly to the Democratic Socialists of America's 2026 "Workers Deserve More" platform, which includes a suite of eight major policy commitments.

DSA Agenda Would Add $49 Trillion to Deficit

A broader White House report, "The Real Cost of Socialism in America," found that seven of the DSA's eight major policies would add about $49 trillion to federal deficits over ten years—roughly $355,000 for every American household.

That staggering figure would require about $4.9 trillion a year in new borrowing or tax increases. The White House says either path would be dramatically costly for American families.

The open borders policy alone represents the midpoint of a $440–613 billion range, according to the Council of Economic Advisers. The DSA's platform also calls for abolishing the police and prison system, policies the White House says are associated with higher crime where they have been implemented.

Taxpayers Foot the Bill for Radical Agenda

The White House is drawing a clear contrast between President Trump's America First agenda and the Democrats' open borders push. While the Trump administration has secured the border and driven violent crime to a 90-year low, the White House says Democrats want to open up prisons and open the border.

"If he wants to be able to lower crime, which is where we are, we're in a 90 year low in violent crime across America, they want to be able to open up prisons," a White House official said.

With the midterm elections just 18 days away, the White House is urging voters to reject the DSA agenda and its half-trillion-dollar price tag for amnesty.
