President Trump is showcasing a surge of new manufacturing investment in Georgia, naming UCB, Pirelli, and Hyundai as major companies expanding or building in the state.
In a post on X, the Rapid Response 47 account shared video of the president detailing the projects. "Here in Georgia, UCB is investing $2B to build its first-ever U.S. pharmaceutical factory," the post read. Trump: 'They're all coming back'
In the video, Trump expanded on the wave of pharmaceutical manufacturing returning to the United States. "Here in Georgia, the company UCB is investing $2 billion to build its first ever pharmaceutical factory of the United States, and they're all coming back," he said.
He listed other drugmakers making major U.S. investments: "Eli Lilly is coming back with billions of dollars, Pfizer is coming back, Merck is coming back."
Pirelli and Hyundai expansions
Trump also highlighted two major manufacturing expansions in Georgia. "The tire manufacturer, Pirelli just announced this investing $1.2 billion, that's a lot of money to expand its factory in Rome, Georgia, with about 1900 new jobs," he said.
The president also pointed to Hyundai's growth in the state: "Hyundai just announced it will address $560 million to expand its factories in West Point, Georgia."
He tied the investments to GOP policies, adding, "Our country is doing so well under Republican leadership."
