WICHITA, Kan. — President Donald J. Trump returned to Kansas Monday night, greeted by thousands of passionate supporters who braved cold winds and long lines to cheer on the commander-in-chief. The rally in Park City marked Trump's first visit to the Sunflower State since taking office for his second term.
Supporters expressed deep gratitude for the president's leadership on border security, veterans' affairs, and the economy. "He supports veterans. He supports America. He's doing what he's supposed to do to keep this country safe," one Kansas patriot told Rapid Response 47 in a video. "Thank him for shutting down the borders, because yes, people should not be coming in here illegally despite where they're from."
Another attendee was even more emphatic: "Thank you for saving our country and you're the best president ever that I'm ever going to see in my lifetime," she said. "I appreciate everything you do for us standing up every day, working hard, 24-7, never giving up and believing in this great country and our military and everything."
Historic Wins for Kansas
Before the rally, the White House released a statement detailing the president's record of accomplishments for Kansas. "Under the leadership of President Trump and Republicans, Kansans are benefiting from historic tax relief, surging private investment and job creation, stronger rural healthcare, major support for farmers and ranchers, and new investments in the state's military installations," the announcement read.
Trump's Working Families Tax Cuts were highlighted as putting "real money back in the pockets of Kansas workers, families, and seniors." The president's pro-growth agenda has driven major private investment and high-quality job creation throughout the state, according to the White House.
Warning Against Democrat Agenda
On stage, President Trump contrasted his policies with those of the Democrats, warning that their agenda "is a plan to extinguish Western civilization." He cited open borders, inflation, and the release of criminals as central threats.
"They want to open the borders. They want to open, to me, the biggest sin," Trump said. "The worst thing they did to us is allowing 25 million people into our country, totally unchecked, totally unvetted, and many of them were hardcore criminals, 11,888 murders."
Trump also pointed to Europe as a cautionary tale, specifically France. "If you want to see what is at stake in this selection, just look at what's happening in France," he said. "They want great nation that is being conquered, looted, and burned to the ground by migrants, jihadists, and communists who hate Christianity, and they hate, frankly, the Western civilization itself."
Praise for American Greatness
Despite the stark warnings, Trump closed with a unifying message of national pride. "All of us here tonight represent the greatest nation in the world, and, frankly, our nation was not so great two years ago, it was an embarrassment," he said, referring to the previous administration.
"We're a country with the most extraordinary people, the most incredible art, the most advanced technology, the most exceptional culture ever to exist, and perhaps, most importantly, the greatest military," Trump declared to cheers.
