President Trump unleashed a scathing rebuke of Representative Ilhan Omar during remarks on Monday, calling her a 'sick, very dishonest person who hates our country' and ridiculing her native Somalia as 'a real shithouse.'

The comments, shared by the White House Rapid Response account, came as Trump addressed the possibility of deportation and legal trouble for Omar. 'Oh, she could be. She could also go to jail,' he said. 'This is just my opinion. I think she's a sick, a very dishonest person. But who hates our country? And she comes from a country that is essentially not even a country, Somalia. It's a real shit house, OK?'

Trump says Somalia has 'no government' or 'police to protect'

Trump dismissed Somalia as a failed state, saying it has no functioning institutions. 'It's got no government. It's got no police to protect. All they do is have people running around shooting each other,' he said.

He then turned to Omar's role in American politics, accusing her of lecturing Americans on governance. 'Then she comes over here and just say, and she wants to tell us how to run America. She wants to tell us how to run the United States of America,' Trump said.

Trump claims Omar doesn't understand the Constitution

Trump mocked Omar's invocation of constitutional rights. 'And she'll say, I have constitutional rights. And she never heard the word constant. She never saw that before,' he said. 'But she says she is right. She's a disgrace to our country.'

He questioned how she got elected, attributing it to Somali voters. 'It's amazing that she can get elected. Put Somalians vote for her. You know, Somalians vote for her. And most of them shouldn't be here,' he said.

Trump says Somalis have '98% unemployment' and are 'ruining' Minnesota

Trump claimed Somalis have a 98% unemployment rate and blamed them for harming the state of Minnesota. 'Do you know they have like a 98% unemployment rate? They don't work. 98%. It's a disgrace,' he said. 'And they've ruined the great state.'

He fondly recalled Minnesota's past, saying it was 'beautiful, with lakes all over the place,' but now he believes it's being destroyed. 'They're destroying it, probably. Maybe they've destroyed it,' he said.

Trump expressed hope that a specific Republican woman would win an upcoming election. 'And I only hope a Republican woman who happens to be very respected by everybody gets in, because you will see a difference,' he said, without naming her. He added, 'But I will say this, I hope they treat her fairly. But I think she's a very dishonest person.'
