A document signed by Andrew Luger on August 22, 2016, is the smoking gun the political class has spent millions trying to keep buried. The former U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota swore in writing that the FBI was not investigating Ilhan Omar. That was a lie. Federal agents had already opened an investigation into Omar's marriage to Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, and the agents on that file concluded the marriage was a sham between siblings—a fraud designed to game the immigration system. The Obama Justice Department held the evidence in its hands and chose to bury it.

The mechanics of the cover-up are not complicated, but they are damning. While federal investigators sat on evidence that the Omar file was live, Luger signed a letter swearing there was 'no truth' to the probe. The case was buried, the records stayed sealed, and the whole thing was treated as a political inconvenience rather than a crime. But the paper trail did not end there. Joe Biden later handed Luger the same U.S. Attorney post. For those keeping score at home, that is not a coincidence—that is the Administrative State rewarding its own protectors.

The agents found evidence; Obama's prosecutor wrote a denial; Biden promoted the protector. The only thing the political class fears now is an unsealed warrant.

This is not about a personal dispute. It is about whether citizenship means anything in the United States of America. If an individual can lie to a clerk, enter a fraudulent marriage with a sibling, obtain immigration benefits, and walk into the halls of Congress, then every legal immigrant who waited in line, paid their fees, and told the truth got robbed. The federal agents who worked this file reportedly found evidence that the marriage was a criminal arrangement used to obtain status. That is what the sealed warrant contains. That is why 175 Democrats signed a letter telling the Justice Department and Homeland Security to stand down when federal agents finally raided Omar's Washington, D.C., home.

The money tells its own story. The day of the raid, Omar pulled in $847,000. The next day, another $665,000 poured in. A sitting member of Congress under federal investigation for marriage and immigration fraud turned her legal exposure into a cash machine, and her party leadership signed its name to a demand that law enforcement back off. If the evidence was truly nothing, why does the warrant need to stay sealed? Why do powerful people spend so much energy—and so many donor dollars—keeping a Minneapolis marriage file out of public view?

The case remains live. The warrant is sealed, subpoenas are out, and the warrant is not fully executed. Judge James Boasberg, an Obama appointee who has already blocked President Trump on deportations, is now refereeing the fight to keep the Omar file secret. It is the same legal apparatus that slow-walked the original Obama-era investigation. They want the public to believe there is nothing to see.

President Trump has already named the endgame. If Ilhan Omar is who she says she is, open the file and prove it. If she is not, she resigns, she is denaturalized, and she is deported. She can hop the first plane to Somalia. The documents make the case, but only if the public gets to see them. The fight to unseal the warrant is happening right now, and the legacy press is actively refusing to run the contradiction sitting right in front of their faces.

Spent 30 years in law enforcement and I've seen how politics can influence investigations. When leadership decides a case is inconvenient, evidence has a way of sitting in a drawer. This doesn't surprise me one bit.

Can someone explain to me why the FBI would sit on evidence like this? What possible justification could there be for withholding it from the public?

Finally someone is reporting on this! I've been following this story for years and it's about time the mainstream media gets called out for burying it.
