Vice President JD Vance offered direct personal advice to young Americans hesitant about starting a family: "You're never going to regret getting married and having kids."
In a video posted by the White House Rapid Response account, Vance acknowledged that his generation is the first to feel they must have "everything checked" before marriage and children.
'It's Never the Right Time'
Vance said his job is to make it easier for Americans to afford a good life, but his personal advice is unambiguous.
"The one regret that I have in my life... is I wish we'd gotten married earlier, and I wish we'd start having kids earlier," he said. "Because you can't go back and make that decision differently."
He urged young people not to wait for perfect circumstances.
"My personal advice as one guy talking to a person who's been in similar shoes is it's never the right time," Vance said. "So go ahead and do it."
Pro-Family Agenda
The vice president tied his message to the administration's economic agenda, saying his role is to make family life more attainable.
"My job as your vice president is to make it easier for you to afford those things," he said.
